Sigma Stock offers a wide range of facilities for stock control. The main
facilities are:
- Stock records. You can hold as much or as little information about each stock
item as you require. You may select which fields and values are to be
recorded for each stock item, and these are defined in the stock file content.
- Stock levels. Sigma Stock keeps a record of the free stock, reserved stock and
the stock on order for every stock item. These stock levels can be kept up to
date by transactions entered either manually using Sigma Stock or
automatically from Sigma Order.
- Bill of materials processing. This enables you to link assemblies with their
components, to make transactions for the manufacture of assemblies, and to
produce reports showing such things as component availability.
- Multiple branch processing. This caters for stock items kept at a number of
different locations, and for the movement of stock between locations.
- Stock taking. Sigma Stock produces stock take lists for use during stock
taking, and allows you to update stock levels with actual quantities.
- The production of full audit trails on all or selected stock transactions.
- Automatic or manual price recalculation of cost and selling prices for
individual stock items and Bills of Materials.
- Reports. In addition to the wide range of standard reports available in
Sigma Stock, you can produce your own specialised reports by using the
report writer.
- Interface with Sigma Order, to allow Sigma Order to update stock levels and
to provide Sigma Order with product and pricing information.
- Create and update stock records using an ASCII text file created outside
Sigma Stock.
